Guide To Downgrade Zenfone 3 To Android Marshmallow From Nougat. Not satisfied with Nougat on your Zenfone 3? So here is the guide to downgrade your Zenfone 3 from Nougat to Marshmallow version. You just need to install the marshmallow recovery and then flash the stock marshmallow ROM. So let’s get started without any further information.

Preparation:-

Charge your device, minimum 50%.
Backup your important data, in case remove all data.
Enable developer options –

Go to settings ⇒ About phone ⇒ Tap on “build number” 7 times to enable developer options.

To Enable USB Debugging.

Go to your settings ⇒ Developer options ⇒ tick the “ usb debugging ” checkbox.

Enable OEM Unlock.

Go to your settings ⇒ Developer options ⇒ tick the“ OEM Unlock ” checkbox

Download “Kit_Root_Zenfone_3.Zip”, everything is included in the ZIP.
Stock ROM Download and copy the Stock ROM into External SD card.

TO INSTALL THE RECOVERY, YOU NEED TO UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER< UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER FROM THIS GUIDE!!

Guide To Install Marshmallow TWRP On Asus Zenfone 3:

First, read Preparation, Download required files and Unlock bootloader of your device.
Extract Kit_Root_Zenfone_3.Zip
Open Command Prompt (CMD) windows in Kit_Root_Zenfone folder by Shift + Mouse Right click.

Connect your phone to PC.
Paste this command into the command window and hit enter to reboot your phone into bootloader (FASTBOOT) mode.

adb reboot bootloader

It’s time flash the recovery; we will flash this recovery and later we will install the stock ROM.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Now install the Android 6.0 Boot, to flash it hit following command.

fastboot flash boot boot .img

For reboot your device type below command and hit enter.

fastboot reboot

TWRP installing successfully done, Now go to the ROM installation step.

Guide To Install Stock Marshmallow ROM Asus Zenfone 3:-

Firstly, copy the ROM to external SD card or internal storage.
Turn on the Recovery mode by holding Volume Down button.
Install update from SD card, select the ROM you downloaded earlier.
Wipe data, cache and do a factory reset.
After installation, restart your phone, and you will be on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
